Melvin Ross Ivey

Mr. Melvin Ross Ivey, 81, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at his East Brewton residence.

Mr. Ivey was born in Castleberry and had been a lifelong resident of this area. He was a superintendant for a construction company during his working years. Mr. Ivey was of the Assembly of God faith and a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ernestine B. Ivey of East Brewton; two sons, Ralph Ross (Tammy) Ivey of Castleberry, and Daniel Davis of East Brewton; two daughters, Debra (Ben) Floyd of Berrydale, Fla., and Sheila (Joe) Fuller of Escambia County; 13 grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road with the Rev. Chris Pruitt officiating. Craver’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

There will be no visitation for Mr. Ivey.
