TRM basketball to play in Christmas tourney

Both the T.R. Miller girls and boys basketball teams will play in the same Christmas tournament this December.
T.R. Miller’s teams will play in the Demarquis Besteda Holiday Classic hosted by Clarke County and Jackson High Schools.
Games will be played at Clarke County High School in Grove Hill.
The tournament will begin on Tuesday, Dec. 28 and will resume and end on Thursday Dec. 30.
On the girls side of the tournament, six schools will play including T.R. Miller. Other schools include Thomasville, Jackson, Marengo, Clarke County and Linden.
Boys teams, along with T.R. Miller, include Sweet Water, Moss Point of Mississippi, Clarke County, Linden, Thomasville, Marengo, and Jackson.
T.R. Miller’s boys will start the tournament off Tuesday with an 11 a.m. tip against Sweet Water.
The Lady Tigers will follow at 12:30 p.m. against Thomasville.
Thursday, T.R. Miller’s girls will play Marengo at 11 a.m. and the boys will take on Marengo at 12:30 p.m.
Currently, T.R. Miller’s Lady Tigers are 7-3 overall while the varsity Tigers are 3-4.
T.R. Miller will resume their basketball schedule after the Christmas holidays on Tuesday, Jan.4.
The Tiger B-team, Lady Tigers and varsity Tigers will take on the Flomaton Hurricanes at home at 4:30 p.m.
