Levernon Elbert Thompson

Mr. Levernon Elbert Thompson, 80, of Old Hwy. 31, Flomaton, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. He served during the Korean Conflict and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Leigh Schad and a sister, Eula Faye Treakle.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtie Thompson of Flomaton; two sons, Eugene (Mary) Blair of Cantonment, Fla. and Jearld (Maria) Blair of Mobile; three daughters, Anita Nichols of Flomaton, Arlene (Jimmy) Sims of East Brewton, and Christine (Fred) Cook of Pace, Fla.; two brothers, Royce (Cynthia) Schad of Pace, and John (Shirley) Schad of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Carolyn (Robert) Gray of Pace; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held Monday, December 27, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Brother Doug Greer officiating. Burial followed in Green Acres Cemetery Brewton, Alabama with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
