Nelda Faye Neal

Mrs. Nelda Faye Neal, 65, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011 at her residence. She was a native of Haleyville and a resident of the Flomaton community for 40 years coming from Greenville. She worked as a beautician from her home and was a member of Little Escambia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Neal.

She is survived by two sons, Waymon (Trish) Neal and Jamie Neal, both of Flomaton; a brother, J.W. Bankston of Birmingham; three sisters, Oledith Oliver, Dorothy Baxter and Leavrette Sabatino, all of Haleyville; three grandchildren, Emily (Matt) Pike of Pace, Fla., and Sarah and Olivia Neal, both of Flomaton; and a great-grandchild, Adrianna Pike.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m. at Little Escambia Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Hogg and the Rev. Jerry Ritchie officiating. Burial followed at Little Escambia Baptist Church Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Ronnie Freeman, Will Huskey, Tommy Allgood, Frank Grace, Doug Reed and Jim Stuckey.
