Both the W.S. Neal Lady Eagle and varsity Eagles took area game losses on the road Friday night in Jackson.
The Lady Eagles lost 51-21 while the varsity Eagles lost 74-26.
With the losses, the Lady Eagles fell to 1-15 overall while the varsity Eagles fell to 3-16. Both team remained winless in area play as they are now 0-4.
The loss for the Lady Eagles was their 15th straight while the loss for the varsity Eagles was their 10th.
W.S. Neal was set to take on the Hillcrest Jaguars at home Tuesday night in another area game.
The Eagles will return to action Friday night in another home area game against the Monroe County High School Tigers.
Game time is set for 4:30 p.m. in East Brewton at W.S. Neal Eagle Gymnasium.

Girls:
In the game for the Lady Eagles, W.S. Neal was held to nine points in the first half as Jackson held a 9-4 lead after the first quarter and a 16-5 lead in the second to take a 28-9 lead at the half. Jackson then outscored the Lady Eagles 14-3 in the third quarter and 12-9 in the fourth to get the 30-point win.
“The extra work on free throws paid off but we just couldn’t get to the line,” W.S. Neal Lady Eagle head coach John Saxon said.
The Lady Eagles shot 6-for-8 from the line.
Keyvonnia Kyles led with nine points and Angelique Askew had six. Tiana Smith and Jasmine Crook had two points each and Megan Andrews and Arianna Jones had one point each.

Varsity:
In the varsity game, Jackson led 26-2 after the first quarter and 47-12 at the half following a 21-10 advantage in the second quarter. In the third, Jackson increased their lead by seven, 59-17, following a 12-5 advantage.
In the fourth quarter, Jackson ended the game on a 15-9 run to get the win by 38 points.
Hudson Brown have five three pointers to lead W.S. Neal with 15 points.
Donovan Millican had five points and Kenny Kiser had three. Dalton Evans chipped in two points and Nick Straiton had one.
“Hudson shot the ball well for us,” W.S. Neal varsity head coach Derek Roberts said. “He was 5-for-8 from the behind the arch. We are playing hard although it may not seem like it score-wise. I am proud of how hard my guys fight night after night and never quit. One thing I try to instill in my guys is although the road may get bumpy at times, always make it to the end and never quit!”

B-team:
In the B-team game, W.S. Neal saw their record drop to 1-10 with a 48-31 loss to the Aggies.
W.S. Neal led 9-6 after the first quarter and 17-15 at the half following a 9-8 advantage for the Aggies in the quarter.
In the third, Jackson outscored W.S. Neal 15-6 to claim a 30-23 lead.
In the fourth, Jackson held a 10-point advantage in the quarter, 18-8, to get the win by 17.
Trevor Burns led with 15 points and Justin Floyd had six. Devin Stallworth chipped in three points.
