‘Alice’ draws crowd

A nearly packed auditorium witnessed the theatrical performance of nearly 60 Brewton area children with Saturday’s presentation of “Alice in Wonderland” hosted by the Brewton Council of the Arts. Two directors with Missoula Children’s Theatre came to Brewton last weekend to begin preparations for the show.

With more than 100 students auditioning for the show, 59 performing and non-performing parts were cast for the show.

The 2011 production of “Alice” marked the fourth year Missoula Children’s Theatre organizers have found the talent in area students to fill the roles for the performance.

Cast in the show were Alices – Baleigh Douglas, Ryan Garmeson, and Katherine Moore; Mad Hatter- Christian Bradley; March Hare- Nicholas Skidmore; Dormouse- Bailey Cooley; Queen of Hearts- Chelsea Blunt; King of Hearts- Nathan Blair; Knave of Hearts- Ashley Hillman; Tweedles- Jirel Brazzle and Jackson Merker; Humpty Dumpty- Anna Brown; Margaret- Madison Douglas; Cheshire Cats- Brianna Brown, Tianna Stallworth, and Shayne Bradley; Gryphon- Gera Grace; Mock Turtle- Gracie O’Bannon; Duchess- Brittany Rife; Cook- Crimson Rose; Fish- Tiffany Williams; Frog- Hannah Caylor; Caterpillars- Evangeline Moore, Liberty Bradley, Sadie McConaughy, Kelsie Padgett, Meagan Chaudron; Cards- McKayla Agerton, Kelsey Day, Trent Brown, Sierra Robinson, Chloe Smith, Logan Cook, Katie Kirkland, Zachary Minchew, Mallory McFadden, Bryer Weiter; Flowers- Sidney McMorris, Laura Leigh Moore, Alissa Harvell, Molly Jackson, Mykeicia Collins, Rebecca Geiberger, Maggie Thomas; Lobsters- JahTam Stuart, Josiah Carter, Morgan Chaudron, Ansley Till, Emma Claire Hayes, Abby Terrell, Kate Najor, Chloe Higdon, Brooks Feeley, Leigha Ingram.
