James Buford ‘Knottie’ Kent

Mr. James Buford ‘Knottie’ Kent, 72, of the Lenox community near Repton, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native of Lenox, a former resident of Chicago, where he was employed with Ford Motor Company, and a long time resident of Lenox. He was of the Baptist faith, a retired security guard, and a member of the Masonic Lodge 575 of Repton. he was preceded in death by his father, Irby Buddy Kent; his mother, Jessie Alice Kent (James Earl) Harden.

He is survived by a daughter, Lynn (Randy) Miller of Lenox; a special friend, Ann Hall; special cousins, Rayvon (Lisa) Bartlett and Jim Kent; two step grandchildren, Brent Miller and Josh Miller; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church Lenox.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m.. at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Boatwright officiating. Burial will follow in Ramah Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
