Mrs. Mary Martha Josephine Cook, 89, passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, in the local hospital.

Mrs. Cook was born in Conecuh County and was a lifelong resident of the Damascus area. She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. A.C. Cook; two great-grandchildren, Christy Howell and Glenn Zirlott.

She is survived by two sons, Chris (Linda) Cook of Damascus, and Garth Cook of Century; one daughter, Linda Anthony of Pensacola; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Cadenhead officiating. Interment will follow in Damascus Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Craver’s Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
