JDCC softball now 2-6

In their most recent stretch of four games, the Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk softball team went 0-4 to see their record go from 2-2 to 2-6.
JDCC lost a doubleheader to Pensacola State 6-0 and 9-2 and then lost a doubleheader to Jefferson State 6-1 and 4-1.
JDCC is set to play in the Gulf Coast Community College Tournament this weekend in Panama City.

Game one: PSC 6, JDCC 0
In game one against Pensacola State, JDCC was held to only four hits and scoreless as they lost 6-0.
Danielle McCastle was 2-for-3 for JDCC at the plate with a double and Elise Schanley was 1-for-3 with a double. Amber Steadham was 1-for-2.
Pensacola State’s runs came in pairs in the fourth, sixth, and seventh inning.

Game two: PSC 9, JDCC 2
Pensacola State built a 9-0 lead on JDCC through the top of the sixth inning and held JDCC to two runs in the bottom of the sixth to get a seven-run win in game two.
Nataline Moseley and Jennifer Morris had the lone RBIs with Moseley going 1-for-3 and Morris 1-for-1.
Schanley was 2-for-3 with a double and McCastle was 1-for-4 with a double. Sarah Dunaway was 1-for-1 and Rebeccah Wright was 1-for-3. Armstrong was 1-for-4 in the loss.

Game one: Jefferson State 6, JDCC 1
The Lady Warhawks saw their losing streak hit four games with a 6-1 loss to Jefferson State in game one.
Jefferson State lead 6-0 after the top of the third and held JDCC to one run in the bottom of the sixth.
Loren McVicker was 1-for-1 with the lone RBI and Wright was 2-for-3. Brittany McCastle was 1-for-4 and Morris was 1-for-3.

Game two: Jefferson State 4, JDCC 1
JDCC’s record fell to 2-6 with a 4-1 loss to Jeff State in game two.
Jeff State led 4-0 after the top of the fourth and held JDCC to one run in the bottom of the seventh.
Dunaway was 1-for-3 with a double and Schanley was 1-for-3 with one RBI and a double.
Wright was 1-for-2 and Brittany McCastle was 1-for-3 in the loss for the Lady Warhawks.
