JDCC softball sweeps, now 4-6.

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk softball team swept two games at the Gulf Coast Tournament in Panama City to improve their record to 4-6.
JDCC defeated Saint Petersburg College 3-1 and Lake Michigan College 11-1.

JDCC 3, SPC 1
With the game tied at 1-1 after the fourth inning, JDCC scored one run in the fifth and sixth innings to get a 3-1 win.
Danielle McCastle was 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the win for JDCC and Andrea Ruschel was 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Sarah Dunaway was 1-for-4 and Elise Schanley was 2-for-3. Brittany McCastle was 3-for-4 and Amber Steadham was 2-for-4. Jennifer Morris was 2-for-2.
On the mound for JDCC, Jessica Myric, Brittany Linton, and Laura Bishop all pitched going seven innings and allowing eight hits, one run, one walk, and struck out two.

JDCC 11, LMC 1
JDCC pounded out 16 hits and 11 runs as they took an 11-1 win over Lake Michigan College.
Linton and Mallori Armstrong pitched in the win going seven innings and allowing four hits, one run, none earned, walked five and struck out 11.
Danielle McCastle was 3-for-3 with four RBIs and Amber Steadham was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Ashley Killan was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Schanley was 2-for-5 with two RBIs.
Dunaway was 3-for-5 and Rebeccah Wright was 2-for-5.
Brittany McCastle was 1-for-3 in the win along with Jennifer Morris.
