James Douglas ‘Doug’ Jackson Sr.

Mr. James Douglas ‘Doug’ Jackson Sr., 55, died Feb. 27, 2011 after a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. He was of the Assembly of God faith and was employed as a truck driver with B&C Logging.
He is survived by his father, Robert Jackson of Damascus; his mother, Annie Jewel Parks of Louisiana; his wife, Deadra Ivey Jackson of Damascus; two sons, James Douglas “DJ” Jackson Jr. and Steve (Kristi) Cooper, both of Brewton; a stepson, Christopher Ainsworth of Hawaii; a stepdaughter, Jolene Weaver of Andalusia; three brothers, Ronnie (Patsy) Jackson of Jay, Fla., and Leo (Elizabeth) Stewart and J.R. Stewart, both of Louisiana; a sister, Karen (Daryl) Morin of Louisiana; eight grandchildren, Shon Cooper, Brennen Cooper, Jacob Guerrero, Tanner Weaver, Farrah Weaver, Heather Ainsworth, and Jonathan Ainsworth
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 2, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home chapel with Speaker Wayne Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery with Willliams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
