Mrs. Hettie La Von Gantt, 56, of Dawson Street, died Sunday, March 6, 2011 in a Pensacola, Fla., health care facility after an extended illness.
She was a native of Monroeville and had been a resident of the Brewton area for most of her life. She had worked as a registered nurse at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital for a number of years. She was a member of Alco Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Gantt.
She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Gantt of Brewton; one son, James Neal of Enterprise; one daughter, Lori Neal of Brewton; three grandchildren, Alissa Harvell, Payton Neal, and Cameron Gantt.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, March 9, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home.  Burial follow in Fort Crawford Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
