Mrs. Billye Mac Reaves Kennedy, 90, of Brewton, died Thursday, March 10, 2011, at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native of Coy, Ala., a former resident of Texas, and a long time resident of Brewton. She was a member of the Brewton First United Methodist Church and was a retired Registered Nurse from D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Morgan Kennedy.
She is survived by two sons, Herb (Jackie) Kennedy of Monroeville, and Bobby (Deborah) Kennedy of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Judy Kennedy of Beaumont, Texas, and Becky (George) Senicz and Marty Kennedy, both of Birmingham; two brothers, Charles Reaves of Camden, and Williard Reaves of New Ulm, Texas; five sisters- Francis Gaines and Fabris Dunnam, both of Hybert, Ala., Doris Tait of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Marjorie Fairly of Brundidge, and Linda Luker of Deatsville; eight grandchildren, Tim Senicz, Emily Sims, Sara Lewis, Ben Senicz, Savannah Senicz, Scott Kennedy, Morgan Kennedy, and Avery Smith; four great-grandchildren and a special friend, Robin Salter of Flomaton.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 14, at 11 a.m. at the Brewton First United Methodist Church with Dr. Ed Glaize officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Reaves Chapel Cemetery in the Coy Community of Wilcox County, Alabama with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
