A 19-4 win for the W.S. Neal softball team over Monroe County Thursday in Monroeville improved the Lady Eagles to 6-5 overall and 2-2 in area play.
Kaitlin Hadaway pitched the complete game for the Lady Eagles going four innings and facing 19 batters striking out five, walked two, surrendered three hits, and four runs with two being earned.
At the plate for the Eagles, Lauren Boatwright was 1-for-4 with a double and three runs. Britta Wood was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs and scored four runs. Haley Lum was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs and Hadaway was 2-for-2 with a double. Heather Elliott was 1-for-2 for the Lady Eagles with a double in the win.
