Hosea Oliver Golden

Mr. Hosea Oliver Golden, 74, died Friday, March 25, 2011 in a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County and a retired assistant power house plant superintendent at Container Corporation with 41 years of service. He attended Victory Christian Center Church and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. Hosea and Willie Mae Watson Golden; and two brothers, Bernice Earl and Ollie Gene Golden.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Wells Golden of Castleberry; his son, Eric Brian Golden of Davisboro, Ga.; three daughters, Angela (Steve) Huff of Decatur, Kimberly Dawn (Lucky) Roberson of Woodbine, Ga. and Ava (Billy Lowry of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, C.H. (Sally) Golden of East Brewton; seven grandchildren, Charles Happoldt Jr., Victoria McCorvey, Robert Roberson, Amber Albright, Michael Golden, Page Lowry and Bella Lowry; three great-grandchildren, Kali McCorvey, McKenzie Roberson and baby McCorvey; and other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 27, at 3 p.m. at Craver’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Andy Peavy officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Craver’s Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Charles Happoldt Jr., Robert Roberson, Kodi McCorvey, Michael Odom, Danny Watson and Woody Overby.
