Mr. Valna McRandall Lowell Jr., 81, died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native of Miami, Fla., a former resident of Mobile, and a long time resident of Brewton. He was a member of Divine Temple Church, a U.S. Marine veteran, and former owner/operator of the Pawn & Gun Shop in East Brewton.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia Williams Lowell of Brewton; two sons, Tim (Emma) Lowell and Charles Lowell, both of Brewton; two daughters, Lisa (Tommy) Odom of Brewton and Marsha Lambeth of Flomaton; a brother, Richard (Cindy) Lowell of Magnolia Springs; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 27, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home  with Rev. Doug Greer officiating. Burial followed in Cooper Cemetery in  Brewton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directin
