TRM baseball ends season with a win

The T.R. Miller Tiger baseball team saw their 2011 baseball season end at home with a win against No. 7 Clarke County.
After seeing their chances of making the playoffs end, the game was changed from a doubleheader to just one game and saw the Tigers win 7-5.
With the win, T.R. Miller ended their season with an overall record of 13-7 and saw their area record end with a 5-3 record.
T.R. Miller led 4-1 after the second inning after both teams were held scoreless in the first.
In the third inning, both teams plated one run each as T.R. Miller increased their lead to 5-1.
After a scoreless fourth and fifth innings for both teams, Clarke County cut the Tiger lead to 5-4 with two runs in the sixth, but the Tigers roared back with two of their own runs to hold a 7-4 lead heading into the seventh inning. In the seventh, Clarke County scored one run to cut the lead to two at 7-5, but T.R. Miller held the Bulldogs scoreless the remainder of the game to get the win.
Joseph Strength earned the win on the mound for the Tigers pitching the complete game seven innings and allowing 11 hits, five earned runs, and struck out three.
At the plate for the Tigers, Jacob Fillmore was 1-for-4, Collin Graves was 2-for-4, Kevin Davis was 1-for-3, Ryan Hunt was 1-for-4, Trent Robinson was 1-for-4 with a solo homerun, Wil Riggs was 2-for-3 and Christian Lodge was 2-for-3 in the win.
