Hawthorne pitches no-hitter for EB Yankees in recent Cal Ripken games

In Thursday, April 21 East Brewton Cal Ripken baseball and softball games, the Giants, Yankees, Flomaton and Flomaton softball teams picked up wins.
The Giants defeated the Phillies 12-8 while Flomaton took down the East Brewton Red Sox 9-0.
The East Brewton Yankees got a no-hitter from Jacoby Hawthorne to take down the Marlins of East Brewton 6-0 while the Flomaton Canes softball team edged out the Nationals 12-11.

EB Giants 12, EB Phillies 8
The East Brewton Giants improved their record Thursday with a 12-8 win over the Phillies.
Conner Huskey and Blake McGraw combined for the win on the mound for the Giants as they allowed eight runs, six hits, no walks and struck out five in the win.
At the plate for the Giants, Derrick Barton was 2-for-4 while TyShawn Davis was 1-for-4 and Hunter Revel and Aaron Bosarge went 1-for-3.
Marcus Simmons was 1-for-2 with a double in the win and McGraw was 1-for-1. Huskey was 1-for-4 and Brandon Moye was 1-for-3.
For the Phillies, Matt Hutchins and Weston Riddle pitched in the loss. The duo allowed 12 runs on nine hits, walked four and struck out five.
Logan Fore was 1-for-3 at the plate in the loss while Patrick Lovelace was 2-for-3.
Eddie Taylor was 1-for-3 with a triple and Hayden Winchester was 1-for-1. Cameron Phillips went 1-for-2 for the Phillies in the four-run loss.

Flomaton 9, EB Red Sox 0
Flomaton held the Red Sox to one hit and no runs as they claimed a 9-0 win.
Cole Brown and Jackson Steele pitched in the Flomaton win allowing no runs, one hit, walked two and struck out 12.
Dalton Kent was 1-for-3 with a double for Flomaton and Robert Samson and Mitchell Faulk were both 1-for-2 while Jay Jackson was 1-for-3.
For the Red Sox, Samuel Wright had the lone hit going 1-for-2.
On the mound, Morgan Riley and Marcus Dillard took the loss allowing nine runs, four hits, walked eight and struck out three.

EB Yankees 6, EB Marlins 0
Jacoby Hawthorne pitched a no hit shutout for the Yankees as they won 6-0 over the Marlins.
Hawthorne allowed no runs, no hits, walked six and struck out 14 in the win.
Jennings Hobbs was 2-for-2 for the Yankees with a double and a triple while Kameron Cannon was 1-for-3.
For the Marlins, Sawyer Lewis and Dylan Ingram pitched allowing a combined six runs, three hits, walked five and struck out 11.

Flomaton Canes softball 12, EB Nationals 11
In softball action, Flomaton edged out the Nationals 12-11.
Morgan Miller earned the win on the mound for the Canes allowing 11 runs, five hits, walked 14 and struck out seven. At the plate, Lucie Tharp, Ashtyn Presley and Gabby Patterson were all 1-for-2 with Tharp having a double.
Destiny Burnham was 1-for-1.
For the Nationals on the mound, Erin Salter and Aleigh Lanier combined to allow 12 runs, four hits, walked 10 and struck out five.
Lanier was 2-for-2 at the plate in the loss while Dominique Jackson and Catlyn Hartsel were both 1-for-1.
Lindsey Fleming was 1-for-2.
