T.R. Miller advances to regional tourney

The T.R. Miller softball team lost its bid for the area championship title Thursday — but will advance to the regional tournament as the runner-up.
The Lady Tigers lost to Excel 10-2 Thursday evening.
Earlier in the day, they beat Clarke County 7-4, the game that clinched their regional berth.
On Wednesday, T.R. Miller beat Clarke County but lost to Excel.
The regional tournament will be held in Gulf Shores.
