Mrs. Nina Gail Thrower, 68, died Saturday, June 4, 2011, in McDavid. She was a native of Atmore, a lifelong resident of McDavid, and attended Walnut Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert G. Thrower Sr. of McDavid; her son, the Rev. Robert G. Thrower Jr. of Atmore; her daughter, Lori Ann Sawyer of Walnut Hill; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 6, at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Thrower Jr. officiating. Burial followed at Walnut Hill Baptist Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Billy Rex Gibson, Arthur Louis Thrower, Pat Wilson, Jon Wilson, Greg Wilson and Arver Moorer. Honorary pallbearers were David Glass and Roy Foster.
