Mrs. Ollie Mae Blair Cooper, 90, of Old Castleberry Road, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011 in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Falco and a life long resident of Brewton. She was a member of the Appleton Freewill Baptist Church, a retired seamstress from Judy Bond with 25 years of service, and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Cooper and a son, Charles Cooper.
She is survived by a son, Lester (Kay) Cooper of Brewton; three daughters, Ruby (Perry) Wells of Brewton, Anita (Tommy) Stuckey and Juanita (Stan) Ward, both of Castleberry; one brother, Ellis Blair of Berrydale, Fla.; two sisters, Rogean Stokes of East Brewton and Pearline Busby of Brewton; 12 grandchildren, Carmen Lindsey, Tracey Cooper, Shawn Cooper, Barry Stuckey, Gary Stuckey, Ben Ward, Christie Ward, Brian Ward, Alan Ward, Teresa Fuqua, Melanie Lindsey, Jeffrey Cooper; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Bruley and Grady Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
