Cal Ripken softball all stars to play in Andalusia

The Brewton Cal Ripken softball league has announced their all stars from the 2011 season.
Making the 10-and-under team is: Hayley Thompson, Steely Ruzic, Alexis King, Anna Grace White, Myra Reiss, Mary Madison Brown, Hannah Lisenby, Mallori Floyd, Morgan Longmire, Gabbi Solomon, and Kennedy Harp.
Coaches for the team will be Will Ruzic, Terry Reiss, Greg White and Robbie Floyd.
Making the team for the 12U all stars is: Tavonteva Watson, Taylor Austin, Laci Campbell, Madison Douglas, Cortney Lisenby, Bethany McDonald, Lena Nettles, Grace Ruzic, Caitlyn Smith, Jakyra Spears, and Heather Spinks.
Coaches will be Brian Lisenby, Angel Boyd, and Chris Smith.
The 10U team will play in their tournament at the Andalusia Sports Complex July 1-July 3.
Brewton will be joined by Covington County, Atmore, South Alabama and Alex City.
Brewton and Covington County will play Friday, July 1, at 5 p.m.
The winner will play Alex city at 9 a.m. Saturday while the loser will play at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Other game times are Atmore and South Alabama playing at 7 p.m. Friday. The winner of that game will advance to play the Brewton/Covington County winner vs. Alex City winner at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The 12U Brewton team will also play in Andalusia June 30 through July 3 at the Sports Complex.
Brewton will be joined by Elba, Atmore, East Brewton, Childersburg and Alex City.
Brewton and Elba will play at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 30, with the winner advancing to play Childersburg at 5 p.m. Friday. The loser of the game will play at 9 a.m. Saturday.
East Brewton and Atmore will play at 7 p.m. Thursday, with the winner advancing to play Alex City at 7 p.m. Friday.
The loser of the East Brewton/Atmore game will play at 11 a.m. Saturday.
As of press time, no names were known for the East Brewton all star team.
