Softball teams win in Andalusia

In the 12-and-under Cal Ripken softball tournament Thursday in Andalusia, both the Brewton and Escambia County all stars came away with big wins.
Brewton cruised to a 34-11 win over Elba in game one and Escambia County took down Strike Force 11-1.
For Brewton, the all stars scored 19 runs in the first inning, 10 in the second, five in the third and none in the fourth while holding Elba to no runs in the first, four in the second, six in the third and one in the fourth for the 23-run win.
Madison Douglas was 2-for-5 with three runs scored followed by Lena Nettles who was 2-for-5 with three runs scored and Caitlyn Smith who was 2-for-4 with three runs scored.
Taylor Austin pitched striking out four in four innings.

EB 11, Strike Force 1
In game two, East Brewton picked up an 11-1 win over Strike Force.
East Brewton held Strike Force to one run in the third inning while plating one of their own in the first, two in the second, seven in the third and one in the fourth.
Haleigh Dubose was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Kelsi Chandler pitched and struck out six.
