A familiar name will now have a new ring at the local branch of a financial lender.
The CitiFinancial office in Brewton will now be known as OneMain Financial after the company change went into effect July 1.
Linda Barnett, branch manager, said the name change will not have an impact on the products or services customers have come to know and appreciate.
“We’ll continue to work with each customer, one-on-one, to find a loan option that’s right for them and be here when the need us,” Barnett said. “The new name better fits who we are and what we do.”
OneMain Financial’s chief executive officer, Mary McDowell, said the brand name is one that should make a connection with customers.
“We are excited to open our doors as OneMain Financial, a brand we think will really connect with consumers,” McDowell said. “We’re proud of the fact that we’re able to meet our customers where, when and how they want to be met right here in Brewton.”
Barnett said staff members at the Brewton branch will remain the same with the same customer service available to everyone.
“It’s gratifying for me, and everyone here, to know that we’re helping our neighbors,” Barnett said. “OneMain Financial employees include Stacey Daugherty and Crystal Dykes.”
To celebrate the new name, the OneMain Financial branch will be holding a sweepstakes through the month of July to allow customers and members of the community to have a chance at winning a Blu-ray player.
“I encourage customers and members of the community to stop by the branch and say hello,” Barnett said. “Enjoy some light refreshments, enter the sweepstakes and learn more about OneMain Financial.
The branch is located at 1014 Douglas Ave., just north of Brewton City Hall’s complex.
