Alabama State Troopers have released details of an accident in Escambia County that left a Blount County man dead Saturday.
Trooper Greg Eubanks said the accident was reported at around 6:15 p.m. Saturday. The accident occurred in Escambia County along Interstate 65 around 18 miles north of Flomaton.
Andrew Chanse Williams, 20, of Cleveland, was killed in the single-vehicle crash. The victim was a passenger in the 2003 Ford Explorer when it left the roadway and overturned in a ditch.
Eubanks said Williams, along with three other passengers, was not wearing seat belts at time of the crash. All four passengers were ejected from the vehicle. The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was not thrown from the wreckage.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene. The other crash victims were transported to USA Medical Center in Mobile where they were being treated for their injuries.
Eubanks said an investigation into the crash is continuing.
