Mrs. Mattie Louise Crook, 48, died Thursday, July 7, 2011. She was a native of Monroe County, and a resident of Brewton. She was a member of Christ Kingdom Ministry Center, a 1981 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and an employee of Georgia Pacific. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elouise Woods; a brother, Charles Knight Jr. and a nephew Miker Crook.
She is survived by her husband, Caley Crook; three sons, Josh (Monica) Knight, Caley (Sharon) Crook and Brandon Crook, all of Brewton; her father, Charles ‘Bo’ Knight of Brewton; sisters, Joette Knight, Pator Genevelyn (Ottis) Crawford and Veronica Knight; brothers, Milton Knight, Ronnie Knight, Herbert D. Woods, Anthony (Nicole) Woods, Charles Lett, and Marcus Woods; grandchildren, ZaKeea Knight, Temeka Kyles, MaKayla Crook, Trent Cooper, Devin Crook, Jared Crook and JaKayla Knight; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 13, at 2 p.m. at Christ Kingdom Ministries with Elder Herman Bradley officiating, Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery.
