City wishes Walker well

Cookies and lemonade were on the menu when good friends met at the Brewton Public Library Tuesday to wish Brooke Walker well on her retirement.
After 11 years Walker is bidding the library and Brewton goodbye, as she prepares to move to Monroeville.
“I am moving to Monroeville because I plan on writing the great American novel,” she joked.
The real truth is that she has a home waiting for her in Monroeville, but she has begun writing a book, which she has named “Wind Rush Hotel.”
Well-wishers included city officials, library patrons and fellow librarian, Cathy McKinley, from the Atmore Public Library.
Taking her place at the helm will be Jennifer Mustain, who has already been working at the library.
