Brewton 10U softball loses in Tennessee at SE Regionals

In their first game Thursday, the Brewton Cal Ripken 10U all star softball team lost 16-11 in the Southeast Regionals in Tennessee.
After the bracket changes, Brewton began play at 9 a.m. Thursday against Lands Run of South Carolina and lost by five.
Brewton will play again Friday at 9 a.m. against Warren County of Tennessee and will play at 7 p.m. Friday against Lessburg of Virginia.
Brewton will play their final pool game Saturday at 7 p.m. against Ponte Vedra of Florida.
The tournament showed 10 total teams with two pools of five.
Brewton is in the American Division pool with Lands Run, Lessburg, Ponte Vedra and Warren County.
The National Division pool featured Union East of North Carolina, Glen Allen of Virginia, Pitt County of North Carolina, Oviedo of Florida and host team Marshall County of Tennessee.
Originally the tournament had 11 teams with West Ashley of South Carolina being the other team.
The top two teams of each pool will advance to the single elimination tournament with the winners playing for the championship.
The regionals are the final round of all stars as there is no World Series for the 10U group.
