Mitchell Anthonie Culliver

Mr. Mitchell Anthonie Culliver, 51, died July 30, 2011. He was a 1978 graduate of T.R. Miller High School, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a postal carrier with the U.S. Post Office. He was preceded in death by his father, John Culliver; two siblings, Jerry (Eula) and Lillian McMillan; a daughter, Keisha Mitchell; mother and father-in-law, the Rev. Dr. Henry and Mother Elouise McKinnon.
He is survived by his wife, Janice M. Culliver; children, Ashley, Ayja, Tavaris, LaToya (Major), Stacie and Stephen (Michelle); mother, Pauline Culliver; siblings, Hazel (John) Fuller, Lore (John) Jones, Ruby Williams, Michael L. (Rebecca Ann); grandchildren, Emmanuel, Major Jr., Madison, Morgahn, Matthew and Destiny; a son-in-law, Pastor Nathaniel Mitchell, Jr.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Reginold (Gwen) Burns and Patricia (Rev. Charles) Graham; and a host of other friends and family members.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. at Baptist Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Eric T. Andrews and the Rev. Charles Jones III officiating. Burial followed at Old Spring Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
