TRM and WSN release football schedules for 2011

In less than three weeks, both the T.R. Miller Tiger and the W.S. Neal football teams will take to the fields for their first football games.
The No. 7 T.R. Miller Tigers will open up at home at Brewton Municipal Stadium against the class 4A No. 10 Escambia County Blue Devils of Atmore.
W.S. Neal will kick off the Doug Hoehn era as they will host Flomaton at W.S. Neal Stadium in East Brewton. Both games are set for 7 p.m.
On Thursday, Aug. 18, W.S. Neal will travel to Opp for a 6 p.m. preseason game with the Bobcats.
Both T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal will have five home games and five away games with weeks one, five, and 10 being non-region games. Other weeks will be region games. T.R. Miller’s region games include Bayside Academy, Excel, Montgomery Academy, Clarke County, Washington County, Trinity, and Montgomery Catholic.
Homecoming will be September 30 against Clarke County. Non-region games are against Atmore, Andalusia and W.S. Neal.
For W.S. Neal, region opponents will be UMS-Wright, Jackson, Atmore, Monroe County, B.C. Rain, Thomasville, and Saraland. Non-region opponents are Flomaton, Hillcrest and T.R. Miller. Homecoming will also be Sept. 30 against Monroe County.
T.R. Miller had two of their region opponents ranked in the top-10 (Washington County and Bayside Academy) while Trinity was in the honorable mention category.
For W.S. Neal, the Eagles have four of their region opponents (Thomasville, Jackson, UMS-Wright, and Escambia County) in the top-10 with a fifth receiving honorable mention (Hillcrest-Evergreen).
Counting T.R. Miller in class 3A, of the 10 Eagle opponents for the 2011 season, six are mentioned in the polls (Thomasville, Jackson, UMS-Wright, Escambia County, and Hillcrest). T.R. Miller has five overall opponents ranked (Washington County, Bayside, Trinity, Escambia County and Andalusia).
