TRM cross country runs in Mobile Saturday

After having their first meet cancelled last week to Tropical Storm Lee, the T.R. Miller cross country team competed Saturday in Mobile’s Challenge of Champions meet.
In the boys open division, the Tigers placed third out of 17 teams.
Rob Stokes led the Tigers with a third place finish and a time of 18:31.92. Christian Carlson finished 11th with a time of 19:19.52 and Andrew Pollitte placed 25th with a time of 20:12.41.
Carter Ferezel placed 28th for the Tigers with a time of 20:22.30 and Logan Lowery ran a time of 21:14.05 for 48th place. Ryan Snowden and John West placed 57th and 62nd with times of 22:01.25 and 22:13.31 respectively while Ramon Castro ran a time of 23:06.09.
Rounding out the other Tiger finishers were D’Angelo Thomas with a 24:08.77; Travis Carlson with a 25:13.74; Stewart Campbell with a 26:04.85, and Chris Guthrie with a 30:44.86.
For the girls invite race, T.R. Miller placed fifth out of 10 teams.
Karisa Nelson paced the Lady Tigers with an overall third place finish and a time of 19:23.54. Allie Nelson placed 14th with a time of 21:41.05 and Katie Nelson ran a time of 23:05.52 for 29th.
Amber Nelson placed 33rd with a time of 23:25.80 and Amber Terry and Katie Baggett placed 41st and 47th with times of 24:11.01 and 24:41.13.
Breann Huff rounded out the Lady Tigers with a time of 25:12.24 for 50th place.
In the open race for the girls, Taylor Guthrie led T.R. Miller with a time of 27:02.23 and Morgan Rowell had a time of 27:22.84 followed by Hannah Blair’s 27:28.02.
Ashley Daugherty had a time of 28:13.85 for the Lady Tigers.
