Mr. James David English, 69, of Bradenton, Fla., died Friday, Sept. 16, 2011 in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native and former resident of Range, and a former resident of Nashville, Tenn., before moving to Bradenton. He was a member of the Capistrano Valley Baptist Church in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., a 1960 graduate of Repton High School, a U.S. Navy Nuclear Veteran having served on the USS Enterprise, and a retired electronics tech from the New York Times with 12 years of service.

He is survived by his mother, Georgia Lee English of Range; his wife, Marilyn English of Bradenton; a daughter, Kelli M. Englsh of Bradenton; an uncle, James H. English of Range; and a number of cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 11 a.m. until noon at Range Freewill Baptist Church in Range.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 20, at noon at Range Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Boatwright officiating. Burial will follow in Range Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
