BMS football destroys Monroeville 44-0

The Brewton Middle School Tiger football team got back on the winning track Thursday at home in a big way with a 44-0 win over Monroeville. The Tiger defense held Monroeville to one first down all night.
The Tigers jumped out the visiting Tigers of Monroeville early and often Thursday as
Tamerick Jenkins scored on a 55-yard run on the second play from scrimmage to put the Tigers on the board early. Ahmad Taylor added the extra point for the Tigers as they led 8-0.
Jenkins would later add his second touchdown of the night on a 36-yard run and after a failed conversion, the Tigers led 14-0.
Jenkins finished with five carried for 155 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Markail Mitchell scored the third touchdown for the Tigers on a 9-yard run and scored the extra point to give Brewton a 22-0 lead.
Taylor added the fourth touchdown for Brewton on a 16-pass reception and Mitchell added the extra point to give Brewton a 30-0 lead.
Marcus Paul scored the fifth touchdown to give Brewton a 38-0 lead on a 13-yard run. Anteroid Drakeford added the conversion.
Alex Daughtery scored the final touchdown on a 30-yard interception return. The extra point was no good as Brewton won 44-0.
Ahmad Taylor had six yards rushing and 16 receiving and one touchdown in the win for Brewton and Marcus Paul had 13 yards rushing and one touchdown.
Markail Mitchell had four carries for 16 yards and one touchdown and Anteroid Drakeford added three carries for 12 yards.
Brewton (2-2) will be off next week before returning to action Oct. 6 on the road at W.S. Neal.
