Jonathan ‘Joe’ Stallworth

Mr. Jonathan ‘Joe’ Stallworth, 51, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at his residence. He was a native and resident of Brewton, and was a member of First Saint Siloam Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Lee and Mattie Ruth Thomas.
He is survived by his wife, Clementine Stallworth; a son, Deonte’ Powell; three stepchildren, Tyrus (Felisha) Montgomery of Evergreen, and Carlos (Nicole) Montgomery, and Saporcha ‘Reonte’ Powell, both of Brewton; five brothers, Jesse (Shelia) Wilmer of Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael Stallworth, Tony Wilmer and Leander Wilmer, all of Montgomery, Marvin (Lynn) Stallworth of Brewton; three step-brothers, Keith Campbell, Robert (Denise) Campbell and Kenneth (Nikki) Campbell, all of Brewton; four sisters, Minnie Stallworth of Chicago, Ill., Erma (Clinton) Bryan of Paterson, N.J., Jacqueline (Jerry) Rudolph of Brewton, and Tonya (Dempsey) Daniels of Jacksonville, N.C.; three step-sisters, Mary Ann Robbins of Oakhill and  Ann and Debra Campbell, both of Brewton; one grandchild, Sophia Quick; ten step-grandchildren; a special aunt, Mattie Coleman; a special friend, Charlie Knight; and a host of other friends and family.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 1 p.m. at Second Saint Siloam Baptist Church with Minister Jerry Bethea officiating. Burial followed at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
