Do or Dye isn’t just an old cliche — it’s a way of life at Brewton’s newest beauty salon.
The salon has opened at it’s location on U.S. 31, just north of the traffic light near the new Brewton Middle School.
Do or Dye has four employees at the present time, but Leigh Weaver, manager at the salon, says they have room for four more stylists.
“We are looking for a licensed nail tech, after which we will be able to offer full services,” Weaver said. “We also offer a few things not found in the regular salon, such as two level one tanning beds that uses 100 watt bulbs, a red light therapy bed and a level one standing bed that uses 160 watt bulbs. And we also have more than 100 different tanning lotions available.”
For those who are not familiar with a standing bed, it surrounds the client by the bulbs and one can tan all over at the same time. Do or Dye is the only salon to offer this service at this time.
“The red light therapy bed is used to promote collagen growth,” Weaver said. “The customer gets no tan with this machine, but it is great for stretch marks after giving birth, fine lines, wrinkles, cellulite and to rejuvenate the customer.”
As the shop continues to operate, some unique additions are expected.
“We are expecting a have a hydro massage bed,” Weaver added. “It will be in about Nov. 10 and I think everyone will enjoy that. It has water that will give a massage.”
The four stylists already on staff at the shop are Beth Ward, Gwen Minchew, Angie Read and Leigh Weaver.
Services offered at the shop are available by appointment and even accept walk-ins when available.
