Ida Pearl Hobbs

Mrs. Ida Pearl Hobbs, 77, of Dixie School Road in Andalusia, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2011 in an Andalusia nursing facility.
She was a native of Conecuh County and had been a resident of Andalusia. She was a nursing assistant during her working years, and was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Hobbs and a son, Tony Jernigan.
She is survived by two sons, Eddie (Diane) Jernigan of East Brewton, and David Jernigan of Andalusia; one daughter, Carolyn (Jackie) Hughes of Andalusia; one brother, Jessie (Martha) Jerkins of Opp; two sisters, Janice (Mack) Jernigan of Andalusia, and Mary Kibb of Evergreen; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. at Old Town Cemetery in Evergreen, with the Rev. Lee Cadenhead officiating.
