Mrs. Martha Celia Overstreet Murphy, 94 of Shoffner Street in East Brewton passed away suddenly Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at her residence. She was a native of Falco and a long time resident of East Brewton. She was a former employee of V.J. Elmore Dime Store and J Randall Variety store. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of East Brewton where she was a former church clerk for 52 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buck Murphy.

She is survived by one daughter, Maurice (Raymond A.) Williams of Lillian; one brother, Lige Earl Overstreet of Brewton; two granddaughters, Stephanie (Russell) Scott and Daphne (David) Clark; four great-grandchildren, Tiffany (Lee) Knowles, Jacob Scott, Zachery Gardner and Justin (Catherine) Gardner.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church of East Brewton.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of East Brewton with Rev. Larry Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Green Acres Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
