The Country Club of Brewton is under new management as Billy Casper Golf (BCG) has been selected to manage the club.
“We have been hired to manage the operations of the club,” Dan Zimmer of Billy Casper Golf said in a phone interview Tuesday. “Our objective is to provide a better experience for members, work with upper management, to better the services and improve the overall operations of the club.”
Billy Casper Golf has hired a new general manager of the club in Jason Hamilton and has also hired Chad Scott to be the new golf course superintendent.
“The rest of the staff is still there as those were the only changes,” Zimmer said. “We are excited to be very involved in the operation of the club.”
Zimmer said the Country Club of Brewton is the only club that Billy Casper Golf manages in Alabama.
“We have three clubs in Georgia, 13 in Florida, and a couple of clubs in Louisiana that we manage,” he said. “Our clubs mainly consist in the Southeast.”
Billy Casper Golf, located in Virginia, is an owner or operator of more than 125 facilities in 27 states according to their Website.
“We are just very excited,” Zimmer said. “It is a beautiful golf club with a nice facility.”
The 18-hole Brewton course at the Country Club of Brewton facility in Brewton, Alabama features 7,019 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Jerry Pate, the Brewton golf course opened in 1997
