In a Saturday Battle of Murder Creek on the basketball court in East Brewton, the T.R. Miller Tiger teams swept the W.S. Neal Eagles.
The T.R. Miller B-team defeated W.S. Neal 35-22 while the Lady Tigers and Tigers defeated their W.S. Neal counterparts by 40 points each.
The Lady Tigers defeated W.S. Neal 54-14 while the varsity Tigers of T.R. Miller defeated W.S. Neal 73-33 to get their first win of the season.
With the wins for the Tigers, the B-team Tigers improved to 1-2 and the Lady Tigers improved to 4-2 with their fourth straight win. The varsity Tigers improved to 1-2.
With the losses for the W.S. Neal Eagles, the B-team Eagles fell to 1-4 while the Lady Eagles dropped to 2-3. The varsity Eagles fell to 2-6 in their loss.
T.R. Miller is scheduled to play at Flomaton Monday night while W.S. Neal is scheduled to play Robertsdale at home Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
Both teams are scheduled to play in the Escambia County Tournament Friday and Saturday in East Brewton.
Games are scheduled throughout the day Friday and Saturday.

TRM B-team 35, WSN 22
The T.R. Miller B-team Tigers picked up their first win of the season Saturday against East Brewton as they won by 13 points, 35-22.
As of press time, no stats were known.

TRM Lady Tigers 54, WSN Lady Eagles 14
The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers’ first quarter points matched W.S. Neal’s for the game as T.R. Miller cruised to a 40-point win Saturday, 54-14.
The Lady Tigers outscored W.S. Neal 14-4 in the first quarter and 21-4 in the second quarter to hold a 27-point lead at the half, 35-8.
In the third quarter, T.R. Miller increased their lead by 11 points after holding a 16-5 advantage in the quarter to lead 51-13 heading into the fourth.
In the fourth, T.R. Miller outscored the Lady Eagles 3-1 to get the win by 40 points.
Leah Brundidge and LaTeysia Montgomery led the Lady Tigers in the win. Brundidge had 22 points and Montgomery added 17 in the win.
Khadijah Barton led W.S. Neal with six points.

TRM varsity Tigers 73, WSN varsity 33
After seeing their Lady Tigers defeat W.S. Neal by 40 points, the varsity Tigers of Brewton matched them to get their 40-point win over W.S. Neal, 73-33. The win for T.R. Miller was their first win this season.
The Tigers outscored W.S. Neal 13-7 in the first quarter before roaring in the second quarter with a 32-9 outburst to hold a 45-16 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, the Tigers held W.S. Neal to two points while pouring in 14 to increase their lead to 41 points heading into the fourth quarter with a 59-18 lead.
In the final quarter of play, the Eagles of W.S. Neal edged out the Tigers 15-14.
Darrion Salter led the Tigers with 19 points in the win and Jalen Harrod led the Eagles with 11 points.
