Mr. John Derrell Capps, 59, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident of Brewton, and was of the  Baptist faith. He was a 1970 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and a former employee of Masland Carpet with 22 years of service. He was employed by the Escambia County Board of Education in the maintenance department.
He is survived by a brother, Pete (Judy) Capps of Milton, Fla.; a nephew, Wade Capps of Milton; a niece, Shea Capps of Rock Hill, S.C.; and special friends, Gail Clark And Ashley Clark, both of Brewton.
Graveside services were held Sunday Feb. 5, at 3:30 p.m. at Green Acres Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating. and Williams Funeral Home directing.
