WSN B-team ends losing streak at Flomaton

In their final regular season game Friday at Flomaton, the W.S. Neal B-team Eagles ended a 15-game losing streak in their final game while the Lady and varsity Eagles lost.
The B-team Eagles defeated Flomaton 29-28 in overtime to end their season with a 2-18 record. No stats from that game were known as of press time.
The W.S. Neal Lady Eagles lost to Flomaton 55-21 to end their regular season with a 4-18 record. The W.S. Neal varsity Eagles lost to Flomaton 79-70 to end their regular season with a 3-22 record.
The Lady Eagles and varsity Eagles were to play in their area tournaments Monday and Tuesday. See Saturday’s paper for a complete game recap.

Flomaton 55, W.S. Neal Lady Eagles 22
W.S. Neal was outscored 17-1 in the first quarter as Flomaton cruised to a 34-point win Friday 55-21.
Trailing by 16 after the first quarter, Flomaton outscored W.S. Neal 15-4 in the second to increase their lead to 32-5 at the half.
In the third quarter, W.S. Neal was outscored 13-9 and was outscored 10-7 in the fourth quarter as they lost by 34.
KeKe Floyd led W.S. Neal with nine points in the loss.

Flomaton 79, W.S. Neal varsity Eagles 70
In varsity action Friday, despite having four players in double figures, the Eagles of East Brewton lost by nine to Flomaton, 79-70.
W.S. Neal led Flomaton by one point after the first quarter, 17-16, before being outscored 22-16 in the second quarter to go in at the halftime break down by five points, 38-33.
In the third quarter, Flomaton edged out the Eagles 17-15 to increase their lead to 55-48. In the fourth, Flomaton ended the game on a 24-22 run to get the win by nine points.
Donovan Millican led the Eagles with 19 points followed by Derrick Hodges with 15 and Jalen Harrod and Josiah Nettles with 14 points each.
