BPD nets several arrests

Four suspects kept Brewton police officers busy over the weekend on a variety of misdemeanor and felony drug charges as well as other offenses.
Brewton Narcotics Division Director Bryan Davis said officers made the arrests while on patrol during the weekend.
One suspect, Michael Wayne Johnson, was out of jail on bond after being arrested in connection with a shooting at the Masonic Lodge last year, Davis said.
Johnson was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance – cocaine, following a traffic stop by Officer Deric Smith.
Also arrested as the result of a traffic stop by Sgt. Patrick Caylor was Daniel Stuart Harris. The suspect was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Pierre Charles Tyler Scott of York was arrested after Officer Nicholas Stanley made contact with him. He was charged with first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.
Carlos Antonia McCreary of McLeansville, N.C., was arrested following a traffic stop made by Officer Nicholas Stanley. He was charged with giving false identity to obstruct justice and unlawfully carrying a pistol.
Suspects was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center. Bond details was not available at press time.
