Mr. William “Willie” Otis Whitaker, 52, of Tarra Lane, died Saturday, February 4, 2012 in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Missouri, a former resident of Lakeland, Fla., and a long time resident of Brewton. He was of the Christian faith, and was retired from Whitaker Commercial Construction.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Esther Whitaker of Missouri; his wife, Hilda Whitaker of Brewton; two sons, Gabriel (Erica) Cagle of Brewton, and Roy Charles Cagle of Atmore; a daughter, Sharon Ann Cagle of Brewton; two brothers, Clint Whitaker and Steve (Beth) Whitaker, both of Missouri; two sisters, Goldia (Rex) Ross of Missouri, and Cindy (Dale) Jorgenson of Texas; three grandchildren, Whitley Lisenby, Paisley Lisenby and Maria Cagle; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held Thursday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Yuhasz officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
