New China Buffet opens Friday.

Diners will have a new choice for their meals away from home beginning with lunch on Friday.

New China Buffet will open the doors to a fresh look at Chinese cuisine in the Brewton area beginning at 11 a.m.

Fei Long Lin, manager of the restaurant, said there will be something for everyone on the buffet offered from 11 a.m. to closing every day.

“We will have the items people expect on a Chinese buffet,” Lin said. “We will also have an American/Western bar as well. There will be around 60 choices on the buffet every day.”

The new partners purchased the business from the previous owners hoping to create a fun atmosphere and good food for Brewton area residents, Lin said.

With an extensive menu of typical Chinese fair, diners can choose to enjoy culinary delights that range from sushi to Habachi-style dishes, Lin said.

“Lunch special are available from the menu for those who don’t choose their meal from the buffet,” Lin said. “Daily lunch specials are only $5.75 and there is a wide range of offerings there.”

Dieters will also find a special spot on the menu with steamed meats and vegetables that will accommodate calorie-counting plans.

New China Buffet is located in the old No. 1 China Buffet location between Jalisco’s and Dollar General in the old Kmart Shopping Center on Douglas Avenue.

Hours are from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.

Call in orders are available from the menu and buffet plates can be made to-go, Lin said.
