Mr. Ernest Ray Blackmon, 79, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012. He was a native of Brewton and was retired from Monsanto. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Ellen Wilson; his first wife, Patricia Blackmon; a son, Bobby Blackmon, three grandchildren, and a brother, Houston ‘Buck’ Graves.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his children, Sharon Olson, Jackie Bell, Johnnie (Candy) Blackmon, Ronnie (Sharon) and Sport Baker, 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; his brother, Bill (Shirley) Wilson and three sisters, Betty Pritchell, Peggy (Lavon) Hammac and Bobbie Jean Douglas.
Memorial Service were held Tuesday, Feb. 14. at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church with Jim Bell officiating. Burial services were held at Catawba Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. David E. Shofner officiating.
