Mrs. Claire Suzanne Johnston Hastings, 47, died  Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. She was a member of the East Brewton First United Methodist Church, a 1982 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and a homemaker.
She is survived by  her father, Tommy Johnston of East Brewton; her husband, Mack Hastings of East Brewton; a son, Joshua Gilmore of Fort Belvoir, Va.; two brothers, Thomas Stan (Laura) Johnston of Mobile, and Steven Craig (Christi) Johnston of East Brewton; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Tammy B. Scurlock, Christina Booker, Beth Jenkins and Sharon Strength.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 6 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
