WSN JV baseball splits with Northview

The W.S. Neal JV baseball team earned a split Tuesday against Northview in their first game of the season.
The JV Eagles defeated Northview 4-2 in game one and lost game two 5-2.
In game one, Miles Powell pitched three scoreless innings to get the win on the mound. Patrick Glass and Justin Sessions gave up two runs in the final two innings in the win.
At the plate in the win, Taylor Elliott was 1-for-2 with one RBI along with Powell and Brandon Carmichael.
Robin Swift was 1-for-2 with one RBI and Dalton Shell scored as a pinch runner in the win.
In game two, Rob Jones pitched three innings giving up three unearned runs and took the loss.
Colten Morris saw his first action on the mound in the fourth inning along with Glass giving up the final two runs. Elliot pitched a perfect top of the fifth innings in the loss.
Several Eagles scatted hits in the loss with the two runs being scored on passed balls.
