Presidential hopefuls to attend Alabama forum

For Alabamians wishing to hear and see Republican candidates seeking the presidential nomination, the best opportunity may be the Presidential Forum planned in Birmingham next week.

Bill Armistead, Chairman of the Alabama Republican Party announced the state party will play host to a Presidential Forum in Birmingham Monday, March 12. All four candidates have been invited with Speaker Gingrich and Senator Santorum confirmed to be attending.  The party is waiting for confirmation from Congressman Paul and Governor Romney.

“For the first time ever, the Alabama Republican Primary will have a significant impact on who our nominee will be,” Armistead said. “By holding our Primary on March 13th, the same day Mississippi votes, the candidates are paying attention to the ‘Deep South Super Tuesday’ and we are excited to see all four campaigning across Alabama.”

The event will be held at the Alabama Theater and will begin at 5:30 p.m. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.  Seating is limited to 2,500 and will be first come, first seated. Attendees are asked to plan accordingly. The address is 1817 3rd Avenue North, Birmingham, AL, 35203.

This event is open to the public and free of charge.
