Jefferson Davis Community College cut a double-digit deficit to just three points late in the second half Friday night, but couldn’t close the gap and lost to Wallace-Hanceville in the semifinals of the ACCC regional tournament in Tuscaloosa.

The 74-60 setback ended an amazing season for the Warhawks, who finished 19-10 and only one game shy of a berth in the title game.

In Friday’s semifinals, Wallace-Hanceville led the entire game.

But with less than two minutes left, JDCC narrowed the game to 63-60, but the Wallace-Hanceville quickly widened their lead in the final minute, and won 74-60.

Brandon Scott led the Warhawks with 22 points, and Turmonte Ragland added 20.
