Morris Jordan Cumbie

Mr. Morris Jordan Cumbie, 72, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and former resident of McKenzie, and a long time resident of Brewton. He attended Alco Pentecostal Holiness Church, was a 1958 graduate from McKenzie High School, a U.S. Navy veteran, and a former machine operator with International Paper Company.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Johnson Cumbie of Brewton; a son, Morris Andrew “Andy” Cumbie of Brewton; three daughters, Melissa (Randy) Ingram of Brewton, Wanda (Marc) Bush of Jacksonville, Fla., and April (Brad) Summers of Mobile; a sister, Aglice (Carlton) Messer of Opelika; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Byrnes Pitts officiating. Burial followed in Zion Hill Cemetery near Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
